Midsummer have developed the Duo Line system which produces a 6″ semi square CIGS cell on a stainless steel substrate which is used in conventional module manufacturing.
The Duo Line concept has the lowest initial capex in the market allowing for an incremental ramp up in capacity.
The technology is proven in projects with the EU and Swedish Energy Agencies.

Midsummer provide equipment for cost effective industrial mass manufacturing of solar cells .
The high productivity is achieved by processing a large number of smaller substrates in an automated, all vacuum process. The equipment design and production philosophy builds on development adapted from the optical disc industry and the use of 3rd party equipment.
Cells made with the Midsummer equipment and technology do not contain Cadmium.
