O.S.T. Pty Ltd. is a family owned and operated Australian business. The company is managed on a day to day basis by Matthew Hall and is partnered by Robert (Bob) Hall his Father who looks after the technical side of the business.
Matthew and Bob have been involved together in the plastics packaging and optical media industry since 1992. Bob has been active in the plastics packaging industry many years before as a fully qualified Toolmaker.
O.S.T. is still involved on a case by case basis in projects that are plastics packaging industry based. This is mostly specific to blow moulding projects, however injection moulding projects are also handled. Consulting services can also be offered for packaging design and plant layout and start ups.
O.S.T. was started after the original company (Proplas Australia) was sold so a focus on the optical media industry could be made. Over time the optical media industry has become smaller and has matured to the point where the business has had to look at other technology and industries to keep the business active. These other products range from FMCG products such as LidRock and Flexplay and now In-Line CIGS solar cell production equipment from Midsummer AB to open up new opportunities for O.S.T. to grow and develop. These new and innovative products are very exciting and will take O.S.T. into the future as a dynamic and innovative company.
O.S.T. has been awarded patents for the application of MEM’s RFID tag technology to optical media (e.g. CD’s and DVD’s). These patents have been awarded for Australia and New Zealand.
